Overview

Dating back to 1936, the Columbine Building is a prominent landmark in East Cowes, recognisable by its Union Jack hanger doors, visible from the Red Funnel Ferry. Situated at Venture Quays, the property provides approximately 82,000 sq ft of lettable space and houses key tenants, including Wight Shipyard, AP Marine, Red Funnel, Shademakers, and the Classic Boat Museum. 

Our Role

Working in conjunction with Hose Rhodes Dickson (HRD), LRG provides commercial property management services on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council. Our responsibilities include: 

  • Rent and Service Charge Collection – Ensuring timely payments from tenants and managing service charge budgets efficiently.
  • Health & Safety Compliance – Conducting weekly inspections and ensuring tenants meet statutory requirements.
  • Building Maintenance – Overseeing reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance to uphold asset value.
  • Procurement & Cost Management – Securing competitive contracts to deliver cost-effective property management solutions.

By attending regular asset management meetings with the Isle of Wight Council, LRG ensures that Columbine Building is managed efficiently and cost-effectively.
