Initially advising Basingstoke Golf Club on promoting the site for residential use, Boyer continued to lead on planning strategy, securing permissions, and delivering reserved matters applications for Bloor Homes.

Our Involvement
Boyer’s expertise was integral at every stage of the project, ensuring a seamless transition from site promotion to planning approvals and ongoing development support. Key areas of involvement included:
- Local Plan Promotion & Land Allocation – Advising Basingstoke Golf Club on securing the site’s allocation for housing-led development in the Local Plan.
- Land Deal Facilitation – Supporting the agreement between Basingstoke Golf Club and Bloor Homes, facilitated by LRG’s land team.
- Outline Planning Application – Preparing and securing approval for an outline planning application covering 1,000 homes, sports pitches, a local centre, community facilities, a gypsy and traveller pitch, and key infrastructure improvements.
- Environmental Impact Assessment – Leading the preparation of an Environmental Statement to support the application.
- Planning Negotiations – Managing all negotiations with local authorities and stakeholders to secure planning permissions.
- Reserved Matters Applications – Preparing and submitting reserved matters applications for:
- Phase 1 – 227 homes
- Phase 2 – 229 homes
- Phase 3 – 485 homes, including affordable housing, custom-build housing, open space, and landscaping.
- Local Centre Planning – Currently leading negotiations for the planning application of a new local centre within the development.
