LRG have unveiled its ambitious sustainability roadmap for 2025, building on the successes of 2024 to drive forward initiatives that support environmental, social, and community goals.
In collaboration with Green the UK, the Group will expand its biodiversity initiatives in 2025. This includes an increase in tree planting across schools, with a focus on planting climate-resilient species that support local ecosystems.
Marine restoration efforts will remain a key priority. The expansion of oyster reef restoration projects in the Solent and kelp habitat recovery along the Sussex coastline will enhance marine biodiversity, mitigate the effects of climate change and support local fishing communities.
2025 will also see an increase in sustainable office refurbishments, with new projects planned to align with LRG’s commitment to environmentally conscious business operations. These refurbishments will incorporate energy-efficient designs, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified materials, and renewable energy sources, further reducing the environmental impact of the Group’s property network.
Volunteering initiatives will play a central role in LRG’s sustainability strategy for the year ahead. Opportunities for staff to engage in tree planting projects at Hockeridge and Pancake Woods in Chesham, Battram and East Grinstead and in three local schools, supporting both biodiversity and community development.
David Wilson, Group COO of Leaders Romans Group, said: “The year ahead represents an exciting opportunity to build on the strong foundations we’ve laid. 2025 will see us expanding our efforts to drive meaningful environmental change, not only through innovative biodiversity projects but also through further reducing our carbon footprint and engaging our communities in sustainability.
“Leaders Romans Group remains dedicated to maintaining its carbon-neutral status and achieving meaningful progress in sustainability. By setting ambitious targets for 2025, the organisation continues to lead the way in integrating environmental responsibility with industry excellence.”
